Purchase order and receive
Purchase order (PO) is in back office -> item -> inventory -> Purchase Orders.
To add a new PO, click the ‘new’ button.
A PO is always under a supplier. So first select a supplier for the new PO.
The first method to add items is to scan the item barcodes one by one. The second method to add items to receive is to click the ‘add’ button. In the next window, select items that need to be received. Only the items of this supplier will be shown. You can press ctrl or shift to select multiple items. If the min stock are set for items, click low in stock will show the items below min stock.
Each row of the PO is one item that is going to be ordered and received. The request number needs to be filled in first.
Click save to go back to the list of purchase orders. Here you can click print the PO or email it to the vendor.
After the items are delivered by the supplier, the items should be received into SD2. Select the PO and click the ‘Edit’ button. The received number of each item needs to be filled in. Here the pkg size and cost can also be updated. For example if an item has a package size of 12 and the received number is 1, it means 12 of individual items are received. The total cost is equal to the package cost multiplied by the received number. The cost of an individual item will be the package cost divided by the package size and updated by SD2 automatically. An invoice No is also required. The complete button will finish this PO and update the cost and on hand number of the items.
