Pack Item

This can be used to track inventory of packed items. For example, one case of beer has 12 cans. The case of beer and the can of beer are two items in the system.

Assuming there are 2 cases and 1 can of beer on hand, if 2 cans of beer are sold today, the on hand number will change to 1 case and 11 cans after doing end of day. To set up this, click the ‘+’ button in the pack item section and select the can of beer in the pop up item selection window.

Input the number of cans, 12, in the pack item section and save.
